Thursday night we were at a pink party. There are some pictures in the schoolblog. As Oli had nothing pink to wear, he volonteered for some pink bodypainting (check the picture on the other blog, and you will see, what we mean...)
Then on friday we had an excursion to the local library. It is pretty close to our home, so Flo can read tons of books. Altough not Flo but Oli took 4 law books.
Today we had finally some freetime. So we went to the Noosa National Park. We saw two Koalas (the first time we ever saw any in the wild!) and a big lizard. We did some easy hiking (about 9km).
Koala spotting can be really difficulte. Though it gets easier, if there are already other tourists who are pointing up in the trees. Otherwise you need sharp eyes. You can try to find the Koala on the next picture, and proof that you're the ultimate animalspotter.
The Noosa National Park has a beautiful Coastline.
We rode to the Park with our bikes. We're quite mobile, since we finally have them.
Here is as well the picture of our homestay family.
And finally the solution of our koalaspotting-contest:
So tomorrow we actually have to do some homework. But maybe we go to the market in the morning.

Hello !!
In first of all I would like say I'm so glad that you write in english !! Now I understand (nearly) all you say on your blog, and I stoped look the pictures like a child !!
I hope you have a good time in Australia! Good luck for the school.
I could see that Oli have a blond hair with australian sun (maybe is just an effect on a picture... we'll see when you come back)
Enjoy your trip and if you can give me back a real baby koala for my flat I'll be so happy!
kisses
Julie
P.S: Sorry about my english but you know that french are so bad in languages...
I still can't see the koala on the first picture!
Hey Oli, was it a really pink painting or did you just get the red effect having this beautiful girl in front of you? (I'm only teasing you)
I love your blog, it's like reading a saga, and I can't wait until the next episode.
hugs and kisses

Hi folks
really amazing to read your blog all the time. And tranquilizing too because everything works well and is perfectly organised. How far is it to the beachfront from your home? I ask because I wonder if you ever planned on diving in Australia. Diving schools you'll find like sand along the beach. Occasionally they offer a test dive for a couple of aussie dollars. A trial ist definitely worth it - laying almost weightlessly in the warm water, absolut quietness all around you except the ascending air bubbles. If you're interested in that sort of sport, a medical doctor should check your ears first. On the other hand skin diving might be as fascinating. The light just a few meters under waterlevel is better, i.e. more intensive and brighter to observe the colorful fish, plants and corals. For this long period I would buy snorkels, masks and fins. I can't remember which island in the southern hemisphere you mentionned before you left - for snorkling I'd carry at least mask and snorkel. I Have to stop now. The more my toughts cicle around this theme the more I would like to join your party. Enjoy your time and take care - OOO XXX - Marco
There's no way we'd ever spot that koala xD Although the zoomed picture shows it pretty clearly.
Today, I started off at university again with PLANTS. I do not like them. Although the afternoon was pretty interesting where we had to set up a humas skeleton xD Unfortunately I mixed up Speiche and Wadenbein (no idea what's that in English and I don't bother looking it up xD) so my guy wasn't able to walk or turn is arm xD And then we learned about the evolution from apes to humans and what the similarities and differences are. That was pretty interesting :D
Enjoy your school week ;)
Carmen
